"Getting to the Point" Episode 1

Get a firsthand look at how hospitals and acupuncturists can work together to improve the quality of life and care for even the youngest cancer patients
For Brain Cancer Awareness Month, the ANF and director Doug Dearth are proud to release our first episode of "Getting to the Point."

Facing complications from brain surgery and upcoming chemotherapy treatments, neurosurgeon Dr. William Loudon suggests to Max and Cade’s parents that they try something outside the box and introduces them to CHOC hospital acupuncturist Ruth McCarty. Over the next few years, acupuncture not only helps ease the fatigue, nausea, and pain so common in cancer recovery, but helps Cade recover from a devastating stroke he suffered after his second brain surgery.

Learn more about these two boys' remarkable journey.
